New hard drive for Dell Dimension 9150
Hi. My old 9150 has seen better days and after numerous reformats, I've decided to install a new hard drive. I purchased a Western Digital 1600AAJS and when I tried to install it, the computer could not see it - not at all. Does anybody have any ideas?

If the BIOS sees it but Windows doesn't, it's because you need to partition it. An alternative is to use Western Digital's free version of Acronis True Image to clone the old hard drive over to the new one.
To manually partition it, you can use the DISKPART command line utility or the grahpical Disk Management applet.
