No Audio Dimension 3000, Window XP

I recently had to replace my hard drive.  All files have been restored, but I have no audio.  No playback devices, no recording devices, no midi playback devices, no audio devices listed.  I am pretty sure that the driver is not loading.  How do I correct this problem? Thanks

The correct and required install sequence is (1) Install Windows (2) Install Chipset Drivers (3) Install Device Drivers such as sound, video, etc.

The most often missed chipset drivers are probably the problem. You MUST install the chipset drivers before installing the sound drivers.

Install the chipset drivers, then install the applicable Dell sound drivers.  This usually takes care of the problem.
