No Video Through HDMI Display Input On Studio XPS 8100
This system has two HDMI ports, one is onboard HDMI port and the other one is an addon GFX HDMI port. Make sure you connect the HDMI cable to the addon GFX HDMI port (second port) to get video.

Chris,
Interested in your post. I've had real trouble connecting my Dell XPS 8100 to any monitor / TV via the HDMI port. I purchased my unit on 19/4/10 and have only had it a couple of days. I only appear to have one HDMI port on the computer and was wondering if you or anyone could shed any light on the issue?

I'm interested in this too. I took delivery of an 8100 this morning, and have been unable to get a HDMI connection. Mine has only 1 HDMI port also.
