OptiPlex 9020 AIO Turn Off Monitor

Hello

I have a OptiPlex 9020 AIO. I have uninstalled Windows 8.1 and installed Windows 7 x64. I am now unable to turn off the monitor using button on the side located above the power switch. This used to work using windows 8.1. I assume the problem is related to a missing driver or an application that needs to be installed. Can someone please tell me the name of the required driver or application that I need to be able to turn off the monitor without turning off the computer.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

Welcome to Dell Community. Optiplex 9010AIO doesn’t have any button to turn off only the display, the button you were referring to above the power switch, is to help setup the brightness/volume function only.

Can you help me understand, if you were pushing the power button instead, as the power button will turn off your computer display and put to sleep on Windows 8.1. You can configure the same while on Windows 7, from “Change what the power buttons do” option. This can be accessed by searching from the start menu.

Should you have any other queries, I would be happy to assist you further.
