OptiPlex GX620 + GeForce GT 710

I recently purchased a video card  EVGA GeForce GT 710 1GB 64-Bit DDR3

to install in an old OptiPlex GX620 I have had sitting under the desk.

when I install the video card, I never get a video signal from it to the monitor, If I connect a VGA monitor to the onboard graphics I get an error that there is a video card connected.

Has anyone else used these cards with GX620s?  my end goal is to use this card to output video to a large TV for playing Netflix/youtube etc (no gaming/just streaming)

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You cannot USE or connect onboard video  when you have a card in the X16 slot.

This is not supported.  There are no issues with the Geforce card.

You get a VERY SPECIFIC message.

System halted!

I fixed the problem,  the Bios on the MB was too old to properly use the new card, updated bios , and the card works .
