Optiplex 380 RAM Upgrade

I have a Dell Optiplex 380 (Full Desktop version) with 2GB DDR3 Ram.  I bought 2 x 4GB DDR3 Ram modules to upgrade.  When I put the ram in, the machine just beeps.  How can I resolve this?  Is it an issue of the speed of the ram or the voltage required?

Please help :emotion-9:

Maybe Im stupid... I just tested 2x KVR13N9S6/2 that means 2GB DDR3 at 1333 and is still bipping.

The message is "Memory modules are detected, but a memory configuration or compatibility error has occurred."

I dont get it... what kind should I buy to make him work? :emotion-6:

Hi Larry
Your are not a stupid... :emotion-1:
I have 2 computers 380 with the same problem like your. And DELL recommend 1333 512x64 RAM.memory
Before this... I´ve updated the BIOS from A00 to A04 and the A06 and A07, but the same problem appears
Then I called to DELL because they confirm that the CPU can get 8 G.

Probably we need to change or buy memory that DELL recommend

Of course... I will tell you my final answer
Mau
