Optiplex 745 full tower
Need help i have a Optiplex 745 full tower core 2 6600 @ 2.0ghz
Can i use this spc of graphics card mainly fir hdmi out i dont game just wish to use it for the hdmi out and i mainly use programs like photoshop ect i have 4gigs ram can put another 1 or 2 gigs in i know the max is 8gigs anyway here is the card spec

You would be much better off with the HD 6450 not the HD 5450. I use the HD 6450 in the 745 SFF. HERE is one to look at.

Thanks but i dont have the sff i have the full tower not small form factor and teh card you say get is about £40 in the uk is it really worth buying at that price when i can get the ati radeon for £19 thanks anyway

I know you have the tower, but it does not matter. HERE is the HD 6450 or HERE. It is just that sometimes the HD 5450 has not worked on some systems where the HD 6450 has worked.

Hi kellbear thank just to confirm that the 1gig should be ok in the machine for light use ie photoshop few movies and general web surfing

Wrong I went for the hd6450 as sujested and alls I get trying to install the catalyst is ..BSOD....45 POUNDS DOWN THE PAN ?!!!?...... nice one for your so called know how .
