Processor Fan Revving Problem
Hi All,
I have a Dell Inspiron 580 and the processor fan is revving up every 13 seconds or so. It's running the whole time, but then speeds up. Here's a video of it
Any suggestions? Thanks!

My story is similar to these. My 4-year-old Inspiron 580 started that periodic "fan revving" two days ago and I opened the case and blew out the dust, etc. to no avail. I then found this discussion and unchecking two boxes did the trick. On the downside, when I thought this was the end of my machine I started looking at new computers online and now kind of have my heart set on getting a new one......

Well, you can always re-check those 2 boxes again and you won't have a dilemma... ! :emotion-3:
