Reports of Floppy Drive seek errors when no floppy drive
I turned off the power strip for 6 months to my desktop Dimension 8400 and when I restarted the computer I got a battery warning the first time and an error that says I have a Floppy Disk Seek Error. The battery warning went away but the seek error stayed. I do not have a floppy disk on this computer and never did. My BIOS settings show I have no floppy disk but I still get the error and have to use the F1 key to get around it on start up. Any suggestions?
I should have said my cmos settings above.

Found second spot in cmos to "turn off internal floppy drive". Seems like telling it you had NO floppy drive was not enough:)
Problem solved.
