Studio XPS 9000. Is it overclockable?

Have you gone into your bios and looked under Frequency/Voltage Control?

You can change the following -
* QPI Frequency — Auto, 4.800GT, 6.400GT
* Memory Ratio — Auto, 6, 8, 10
* CPU Core (Non-Turbo) Ratio — 20
* Advanced DRAM Configuration — If Advanced Memory Setting is set to Manual, from tCL - 1T/2T Timing can be manually configured

I will ask but it looks like our training documentation is from an early build. Plus, if the Intel Core i7 965 Bloomfield core speed is 3.20GHz, then how can we offer it at 3.33GHz if it isn't being overclocked? Now I am confused.

I would love to get an answer to this one as well.

Does anyone know what voltage is set for RAM by default?

I ordered some new chips for XPS 8000, but they require 1.6 volts.

The initial speed is 3.20 GHz but if all cores aren't needed at a particular time, the CPU will use what Intel calls "Turbo Boost" to speed up one or more cores to up to 3.33 GHz

Did you mean the Core i7 975 Extreme?  That's the processor I have in my 9000 and it's advertised at 3.33 GHz.  Also, I didn't in the A13 and still don't have in the A14 BIOS the option to set ANYTHING as far as processor except to select the number of cores active, and to set XD enable or disable.  That's it.  Thoughts?
