Trying to re-install Windows XP
using the CD that Dell provided with my computer.
Unfortunately I have service pack 3 on my machine and after booting to the CD that Dell provided I am getting a message that I can't install this version of XP (it has Service Pack 1 on it).
Is there some way to install the version of XP that is on the disk that I received from Dell ? If so, do I need to get a product key from Dell ?

If BIOS isn't set to RAID AutoDetect/ATA before booting from the Win XP CD, you'll get the 7B error.
If the SATA drivers aren't installed during the XP installation by pressing F6, the system should still work correctly after installing XP as long as BIOS is set to RAID AutoDetect/ATA
Open BIOS setup and make sure the boot hard drive is recognized on port SATA(0). Does it show that the drive is SATA or ATA?
How many optical drives are in this system? If more than one, try booting from the XP CD in the other optical drive. On some systems, XP has problems installing if there's more than one optical drive. So try disabling the SATA port where the second optical drive is connected.
How many hard drives are in this system? If more than one, run BIOS Setup and turn off the SATA port where that second hard drive is connected to the motherboard
