Using HDMI input on Inspiron 23 All-in-One

Hi,

This is my first time posting here so sorry if I picked the wrong forum or something.
When using the HDMI input on my Inspiron 23 All-in-One I find that if I don't login to Windows  the monitor shuts down after a few minutes. The only option I have found to work around this is to login to Windows.

Are there any options to either:

- Use the Inspiron 23 All-in-One like a standard monitor with out booting up the PC and logging on to Windows?

- Or at least not have to login to Windows to stop it going into sleep mode?
