Video Card GeForce 6150 SE stopping upgrade to windows 10?
I have a Inspiron 531 desk top originally running Windows XP upgraded to VISTA. My Windows 7 laptop motherboard was damaged by a power surge. I put the hard drive in my 531 desktop and used the recovery disks to get the drive working. I then added 2 GB of RAM. Currently the Windows 7 (64 bit) OS is running fine. When I opened the free upgrade to Windows 10 box. The messages said the Nvidia GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430 graphics card will not work with Windows 10. Said the card need Direct X9 with WDDM 1.0 driver. Is there another card that will work or are there driver down loads available, or do i need another computer?

Directx 9 WDDM 1.0 driver means Directx June 2010 must be reinstalled as well as DOT NET 2.0 3.X and Legacy Direct play.
BIOS Should be updated BEFORE upgrade and WITHOUT any antivirus software interfereing.
VISTA WDDM 1.0 driver either 32 bit or 64 bit is the

Windows will not do proper resolution with the emergency fallback VGA driver. The latest driver and the auto detect utility do NOT work on Legacy cards.
You have to install Legacy Direct play and DX9 and DX10 drivers from the Directx June 2010 patch.
You download the file and extract to a folder then run DXSETUP.EXE as administrator.
Before previous drivers will work in windows7 or 8 or 10 you have to enable legacy features like DOTNET 2.0 3.5 and Directshow. You must then install DIRECTX JUNE 2010 DRIVERS by downloading the file and extracting into a folder and running DXSETUP.exe.
