Video card for Inspiron 580

Hi!

I have a Dell Inspiron 580 and I was wondering what budget graphics card the specs of this computer allowed me to get?

I do not know much about computers - the last thread about this was in 2012 and the Sapphire 7750 was recommended. Is that still a viable option for playing games? Or would another card already best it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

It's a slim tower desktop - are these really the best GPUs the desktop can handle? They seem barely better than the integrated units.

How 'bout an XFX R7 240?

The vintage cards listed previously were what this model was certified with back in the day. They're not the only cards the model will work with.

I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS video card in my Dell Inspiron 580 tower. I also upgraded the CPU from an Intel Pentium G6950 to an Intel I5-750. I also added 2 x 4gb memory along with 2 x 2gb memory for a total of 12 gb ram. I have upgraded to Windows 10 x64 also and added a Western Digital Green 500 gb hard disk. Work better than when it was new.
