XPS M1330 Sound Card Upgradable?

Hi,

I just bought a XPS M1330 with High Definition Audio 2.0 and was just wondering if there is an option for upgrading the sound card to the ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi® Xtreme Audio Sound Card. I know that it would require an express slot but I am not sure if the express slot that contains the mini express card would fit the ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi® Xtreme Audio Sound Card. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks dgpkcon.

I have another question. If the ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi® Xtreme Audio Sound Card does fit and work, will there be an interference with the High Definition Audio 2.0 or will there be an enhancement in the sound system?

yes you can buy the break out box from creative, dell does not sell that it will enable complete surround sound with speakers.Without the box you can enable eax for gaming plus you will still have surround sound on your notebook.Headphones will work the same way,so from what i have heard this card is worth the money and dell is the cheapest at 65.99 others are charging 139.00.

Sounds good. I thinking of buying one. Did you received yours yet? If so, how long does it take for Dell to send the product? Just to make sure, is this the correct sound card (link)?

No i have not recieved yet dell is out of stock and does not know when they will get it for delivery to me,thats what their email said but from what i have heard this card might be worth the wait. The only problem i have heard about thru the creative site is no asio support for this card as of yet.But cant wait till i do recieve it.Games and movies will be 100% better. No that is the wrong link that is the pcmcia card the part number for the expresscard is dell#A1164635
