XPS420 won't go to sleep
My new 420 will not go to sleep automatically. I finally got it to sleep at all by disabling the Network stuff, and the Media sharing stuff. Please help me! It is using a lot of power. CKHatcher

I've had mine for almost a year now and still can't get it to go to sleep on its own. I have to put it to sleep manually. If you figure out a way to do it please post.

It's crazy! Everything tells you you can do this...but nothing works. I have been on "Chat" with Dell three times. Guess it just won't work! Thanks for your reply. :emotion-7:

No problem - us frustrated 420 owners have to stick together.

I have an XPS 420 and I"ve been dealing with this for well over a year. Dell gave me a new hard drive, but that didn't solve it. Very frustrating. My problem is that it won't stay asleep. I put it to sleep and it wakes up w/in a few seconds. I did realize a while back that if I disconnect my internet connection, it will stay sleeping.
