is this computer good enough for gaming?

i have a inspiron one 2020. i bought it so i could play final fantasy xiv. i was told by the sales associate at best buy that this computer would be ok for it. when i tried to play the game, it took 5 minutes just for it to load my character let alone the surroundings. i adjusted some things some friends suggested. the game still takes awhile to load but my character moves a little faster. is there anything i can do on the computer to make it better for gameplay. or should i just write if off as a internet surfing only computer?
