warranty issue

Hi, i bought my xps 8700 from a retailer in my country on 1 Aug 2014. i found the date of the warranty started at 27/2/2014 six months ago. i have spoken with the local store about this and they told me to contact dell.

Then you need to contact Dell directly in the country, where you are located.
 
Dell cannot be contacted using these forums, the forums are user to user, not user to Dell.

Items purchased at a store not directly from dell must be registered with Dell.

You keep your receipt from the store and after your registration is in the Date of your warranty will be set to the proper date.
