AOL freezes the computer on sign off.

When I try to sign off from AOL, Files neede starts to download then the computer locks up. I have to re-boot to do anything. The cursor still moves, but I can't do anything. I tried everything AOL has suggested.

I agree. Had AOL and nothing but problems.I finally started checking with friends and decided on local ISP.Boy,what a difference. Great support. Get on anytime and stay-on as long as want,no getting knocked-off. If you have problems can't be fixed over telephone,Bring CPU to office and will check for FREE.Also much cheaper.

Hi Chris,

I don't like to say this but I have had AOL. Their getting so USSR for me. It's un-real I'd quit them and find another ISP who knows who you are in stead of you being a number and nothing more to them. Boy are they expensive for all the add's they throw on your site before you can even get on with looking at stuff. . Hell you can get free ISP's who put ad's on your system but probably not as many as AOL. See if you can get a Local ISP who is a good one. I mean Check-em out before you do. But AOL is so rapped up into themselves it's terrible. What ever you do don't put AOL 5.0 on I hear it's not easy to get off your system.
