Inspiron 2330, i7, HD6750 fan problem.
Hey Guys,
i have a big problem here. The graphics card fan of my now almost 2 years old Inspiron 2330 doesn´t run after the Windows Standby Mode. All other fans runs correctly! If i start the PC normally then the graphics card fan runs also normally. And something else - the problem is not new, i mean it has occured after the BIOS upgrade from A13 to A14 one year ago.
My systems is:
- Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
- Language: German (Regional Setting: German)
- System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
- System Model: Inspiron One 2330
- BIOS: A14
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
- Memory: 8192MB RAM
Thx in advance. :)

Start the troubleshooting by installing the latest AMD Radeon HD7650A graphic card driver. Reboot when done. The allow it to go into Standby Mode and re-test. Note, I never use sleep or standby. I just use a screensaver during the day and turn my systems off at night. I do not trust the operating systems to be able to do sleep/standby successfully. Just my opinion.

Hi Chris,
thanks for your answer but i tried this already for months now. Different drivers and currently is the latest driver installed and always the same problem. I´m pretty sure that is a BIOS problem, since my update to A14. I have run also the ePSA and i have always 1 error - the graphic card sensor are to hot. Only after the MXM-fan test (100% load), the temperature sinks and i have no more error messages.
Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS? From A14 to A13 for example.

I have seen others do it. But Dell cannot recommend this. The process could brick the motherboard. Read this.

I was wondering did you get this problem fixed. I want to update my ONE 2330 to the i7-3770S processor and was concerned about this problem. Did the bios get fixed? Thanks in advance for your comments.
