Need video driver for WIN98 on Dimension 2350 w/ Intel adapter 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV

As Dell doesn't support Windows 98 on the D2350, it is necessary to go elsewhere for drivers.  Unfortunately, even Intel has no driver for the 845 GV chipset for Windows 98.  You must be using at least Windows 98 Second Edition.  If you can load a copy of Win 98 SE or Win Me, you might be able to use the Intel graphics driver found at the following:

However, I note that you can boot only to safe mode which suggests you might have troubles other than the video driver.  On an additional note, that same page has a chipset driver (INFINST.EXE) as well as the graphics driver.  All the configurations I know about require the chipset driver to be loaded prior to any additional drivers.

And you are right, bigger probs!  On machines faster than 2.1 GHZ. Win98 cannot load NDIS, and boots

to safe mode.

 

There is a hotfix, but I cannot find it!
