Problems with my sound on XPS 710

Hi,

 

 For some reason some of my sounds aren't clear.  Just got the XPS 710 and hooked it up yesterday.  Some sounds work fine others are there but there's just some sort of static.  I'm not sure what happned, I did a restore back to an hour before.  Should I do another and put it back to when I got it or is there something else I can do to figure this out?
