SM Bus Controller - what driver fixes the bang in device manager?

Hello,

I have the new 4550 and have just reinstalled WinXP Pro clean on the machine.  Everything appears to be working but in device manager, I see one device that Windows XP can't find a driver for.  It is listed at "SM Bus Controller".  What device is this and where can I get the driver?  I have looked across the CD set I received with my machine, dell.com, and windowsupdate but I can't seem to locate anything on this issue.

Thanks for your help,

Keith

HaloBox,
You need to install the Intel 800 Series Integrated Chipset Driver. I would point out that this should always be the very first device driver installed after an operating system reinstall. Random system lockups, odd error messages and numerous problems trying to install drivers for other devices can and often do occur if the chipset driver isn't installed first on systems that require it. I speak from experience with all of the above.
