What do I need to do to reset a Dimension 8300 to factory settings?

I did some searching on here but couldn't find exactly what I need. What would I need to do to reset my Dimension 8300 to the way it came from the factory?

Thanks in advance.

The closest you can revert the system to it's factory condition, is by a clean reinstall of XP.

This an excellent guide for a clean reinstall of XP, or you can use Dell's reinstallation guide.

What if my computer was made before July 15, 2004?

For Dimension systems shipped BEFORE 7.15.2004, then you need to use the XP reinstall instructions I've posted.

If your computer was shipped AFTER 7.15.2004, then you should have the Dell's PC Restore by Symantec utility on the hard drive, that restores the system to factory condition.
