E6410 SCCM 2007 R2 SP2 WinPE reboots without changes

my bios version is A03
HDD is on SATA RAID
my boot images are 6.1.7600.16385 (x86 and x64) and 6.0.6001.18000 (x86)
I've imported the INTEL_825XX-GIGABIT-PLATFORM_A01_R267025 drivers, updated my wim files and distribution points and selected the ICH8M-E ICH9M-E SATA RAID drivers
the first 2 steps in my task sequence are:
restart in Windows PE
Partition Disk 0

the WinPE actually and the last thing that i see is preparing network connections before it reboots and it never gets to the partitioning task.

not even with the Dell generated task sequence do i get the WinPE to boot properly

I struggled with this for 3-4 hours and finaly got it to work. I used the Windows 7 SP1 WAIK to get the WINPE file for Windows 7, then injecedt the "Intel(R) 82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection" (Make sure it is the "82567LM-3" driver as there is a 82567LM driver that did NOT work.) driver from the intel website. I was booting to the x86 WIM file so I used the 32bit driver. You can use 7-ZIP to extract the EXE's contents and get just the driver files. Drill down to: PRO1000\WIN32\NDIS62 and grab those files. That will install several drivers, so install them to a drivers folder in SCCM, then pick the one above to inject JUST it into the WIM file. Worked for me, hope it works for others!
