Can a single CX3-80 LUN be assigned to multiple VMWare Hosts?
Hi,
I have to allocate a single CX3-80 LUN to 47 VMWare hosts. This LUN will be used as swing LUN to move VMs between different farms to avoid outages.
Tried searching for some documents, but could not find. Can someone pls help?

yes, you can assign LUN to multiple ESX hosts. I am assuming you have multiple storage groups for different ESX farms? When you are getting ready to add a LUN to the storage group. select "Show LUNs: all". That way you can select LUN already presented to other storage groups.

Thanks for your response.
Yes, we have different Storagegroups for different farms. I have done allocation to 3 farms with 22 hosts, but was not sure about adding 47 hosts.
Is there any document which says about limitation on storage allocation?

you can look at release notes for the Flare version you are running on your clariion. I have not see any limitations on how many hosts can see particular LUN.
