SAN HQ 2.6 - Avg Queue Depth Question
Hi,
I noticed that the volumes pertaining to my SQL database data files as well as the TempDB volumes have an average queue depth of 0 whereas the other volumes all have 1. The SQL data volumes have an average I/O rate of about 2-3 MB/sec. I assumed that the average queue depth would be greater than 0 for those volumes. Is this normal?
Thank you.

don´t worry - queue depths at 0-5 are perfectly normal. 0-1 is extremely good, btw.

i don´t think so. especially with high performing hard drives these values actually appear quite often to me.

Thank you for your response, Joe.
I was just wondering if SAN HQ is incorrect, but I guess not!
