Replicating accross two sites with NX3000 NAS appliance.
Hi there,
We are looking into a new file system and were interested in the NX3000 to work with our Equalogic SANs we currently have.
We have two sites both with an Equologic SAN. We would like users from both sites to be able to access the same files. Is it possible to have an NX3000 at each site, and use DFS-R replication to operate a multi-master model? i.e. Users at SiteA access there files from their local NAS, and users at SiteB access the same files from their local NAS, with replication happening between. This way intersite traffic is reduced, and if their is a link failure, both sites can access certain files. Or is this impossible?
If there is anyone with knowledge in this are, help would be greatly appreciated!!

GREAT question. Here's what our NX3000 experts had to say:
Yes, DFS-R can help replicate in that situation, having NX3000 at each site. Here's some articles that may help clarify:
