Analytics-Driven Smart Community Framework

An analytics-driven smart community includes integration of infrastructures, i.e. traffic lights, street lights, fire hydrants and organizations within the community, i.e. hospitals (patient throughput) and schools (education efficiency and quality).

In this Knowledge Sharing article, Wei Lin, Josh Siegel, William Schmarzo, and Albert Turano posit a minimum viable Internet of Things (IoT) analytics framework to establish a proof of value (POV) laboratory. A transportation scenario is presented to showcase the implications of IoT and discuss a work-in-progress demonstration and its setup to be deployed in a POV lab.
