2 beep error on vostro 3550

This is basically what happens when I try to power on the laptop. The manual said it might be a RAM issue, I've tried a different RAM module and the problem still persists. I NEED HELP.

Hi Muzakir G,

We are able to pick up only one beep in the video uploaded which indicates BIOS checksum failure wherein you will need to replace the system board.

To determine if its one beep or two beep, I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and determine the number of beeps.

  1. Switch off the computer.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter from the system.
  3. Remove the battery from the computer.
  4. Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Then connect back all the peripherals and determine the number of beeps.

Two beep codes on the system indicate No memory modules are detected. If you have two or more memory modules installed, remove the modules, reinstall one module, and then restart the computer. If the computer starts normally, reinstall an additional module. Continue until you have identified a faulty module or reinstalled all modules without error. If available, install good memory of the same type into your computer to check. If the problem still persists then it should be possible memory connector failure.
