5758 DC charger
I recently bought
Pwr+ 65W Laptop 12V Auto Car Charger for Dell-Inspiron
www.amazon.com/.../ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_FkXRybS50X242
I get the standard "unrecognized charging adapter" message. And no charging. My ACCOUNT charger works fine. Can someone recommend a DC charger that will work? This laptop is for a boat and 110 is not available.

Few if any DC adapters are going to complete the charge circuit required on a Dell system. You can use something like this, however:

Well, if there are any, I'd like to know about them. You can't seem to tell me for a fact there aren't any.
How am I supposed to charge that very expensive battery pack if I don't have 110v?

It can be done by means of an inverter.

(in which case you can simply use the AC adapter you have).

Looks like it's for an aircraft charging outlet.

Oh, I had no idea what an air outlet was. I will call dell tomorrow and make them tell me if that will charge my battery. Dell does a very good job of making me regret buying dell products, with all the *** that causes me problems with their laptops.

An inverter is not an option for charging things that take hours to charge. And then once you've charged, you get 2 hours use and you have to charge again. Highly inefficient waste of solar power.

That looks like what I asked for, except I don't understand what the 2 parts are for. The part on the right seems like what I want, but what is the thing on the left?
