Hi,

Try doing a system restore.

Update the BIOS and let us know how it goes.

Go to f2 menu and check for the ac adapter status .

Do we have another adapter or a battery to try.??

Do keep us posted.

Hey,

I have just upgraded to windows 10.

Did system restore.

In f2 Menu Ac Adapter type status Normal and its showing 90w.

Its only happen when my battery level touches to 80-90% in between its shows the error of Plugin not charging. When I see in Battery Meter it showing Battery Charging disabled.

I have tried everything,

Battery removal,

Pressing holding of Power button for 15 sec,

Then connecting the laptop without battery to Ac adapter,

Uninstalling Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery,

I don't what to do now,

Suspecting battery is faulty.  Is the machine under warranty?

August 5th, 2015 06:00

Dear Hema,

My machine is out of warranty.

Can you give me alternate options.

Today while working in office it stuck to 94%, after that plugged in, not charging (Battery Charging Disabled)

I don't think my Battery is faulty.

For your info, I am attaching the Battery Status.

Hi,

Please try the below steps and let us know how it goes.

  • Power off your computer.
  • Remove all the external peripherals  (printers, scanners or any other USB device) connected to your computer.
  • Please remove the AC adapter and battery of your computer.
  • Press and hold the power button of your computer for 10-15 seconds to drain the residual power.
  • Release the power button
  • Keep the battery out for about 2 - 3 hours.
  • Then insert the battery and charge it overnight with the system powered off.
  • Insert the battery in and connect the AC adapter

Now check if it worked.

Do keep us posted

I have the same problem. Nothing is faulty. I can select the option to charge the battery to 100% one time, and it works. Otherwise, the battery slowly drains over a few months.

I see several questions about this, with no adequate answers. The one common thing I see is that everyone with the question has upgraded to Windows 10.
