Dell Inspiron 15 3531 2nd HDD caddy?
I was wondering does the dell inspiron 15 3531 have a 2nd 2.5" HDD caddy as I want to mount an SSD into the laptop but also have the storage of the HDD or using a SATA DVD drive.

No - the system will take only one internal 2.5" drive.

Hi HeaverNothing.
Most laptops have only one hard drive bay and one optical drive bay. For those with both, you could still add a 2nd hard drive internally in the laptop using a drive caddy specifically made to fit it. Unfortunately, for what I found, your laptop model has no optical drive.
However, an alternative may be replace your primary drive with a WD Black2. This is a dual drive (120GB SSD + 1TB HDD) that will give to your computer the high performance you are looking for and a large capacity for your data storage.
