Dell Latitude DW1470 Mini-Pci Wireless Driver and continuous beeping
TWO PROBLEMS
Problem #1: It took 3 days to find a driver on Dell's site. The file I down loaded and am trying to use is R81801.exe from (http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails?driverId=R81803). I still do not know if this is the correct driver or not for the DW1470 Mini-Pci Wireless network adapter installed in my old C640 Latitude. The only problem in device manager is the "network controller". I uninstalled the network controller (with the yellow question mark), reinstalled the chipset driver and then immediately restarted the machine. Upon restarting, Windows finds and can't install the network controller. What am I doing wrong in this regard please?
Problem #2: Upon EVERY restart I get a continuous beeping until I hit ANY key on the keyboard? Perhaps do I have a key stuck electrically? Physically I cannot see any "stuck" key.
Thanks much!!
