Dell M5030 touchpad does not work whilst typing, please help.

Hello,  I recently bought a Dell M5030 with Windows 7 and an AMD Athlon 360 Dual-Core Processor. Shortly after buying I realized the touchpad doesn't work while you are typing. Although I understand how this might be useful to others, it is becoming a nusiance for me. I am not sure what to do, any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks a million!
