*** Hardware Malfunction Blue screen
Just wonder if anyone have a clue on this problem I encountered, all help gratefully accepted :emotion-2:
I was reading the news online, :emotion-3: then suddenly my screen went blue and got this message :emotion-3:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vender for support
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***

I switched the computer on and off, did a diagnostic test, and everything seem OK,
this happened twice now, did same tests and nothing,
does anyone have any idea why?

If the system recovered for now, you're set for at least a little while. The appearance of blue screens and parity errors mean your video card is on its way out, though.

It would help to know what model system you have, but it's likely a bad video chip or card.

Thank you for your answer ejn63 , it is the XPS M1710
I am using an nvidia GEforce GO 7950GTX
diagnostics tells me evrything is fine,
