How to disable keyboard/touchpad for Inspiron 1525

Hi,

I just got a wireless keyboard and mouse.  I would like to disable the keyboard on the laptop since sometimes I put my wireless keyboard on top of it and sometimes it presses buttons.  I'd also like to disable the mousepad on the keyboard since sometimes my wireless keyboard presses those buttons too.  Any advice?

Hi Shaymac8688,

Welcome to the Community. I dont think you will be able to disable the laptop keyboard as this is the default device. You can disable the touchpad by clicking on start, control panel, mouse, wait for the Dell Touchpad image to come up, and click on the image, you should have an option to disable the touchpad under pointing devices.

Thank you

Royan
