Studio 1537 resizing pages and text on it's own! HELP!

I just bought a Studio 1537 and for some reason it doesn't hold page settings.  I can set the text size and zoom level and it changes it from page to page or at times even while I'm on the page!  I've disabled the zoom function in the mouse and it keeps coming back.  Any ideas on how to fix this before I completly lose my mind?!  I have to be able to use the touchpad so an external mouse is not an option.  Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!! :D
