Vertical Blue Line

I've got two vertical blue lines on my lcd screen for my 600m. One is about an inch long and the other is about 4 inches long. The system has not been dropped and has been pretty much babied. I know about all this flex cable and lcd business, and i've reseaded the cable to no avail. The lines do not appear when the system is connected to an external monitor. Also, these lines don't run the entire length of the screen, and are only a pixel wide. Has anyone out there solved this problem with just a flex cable replacement?

Sounds more like the LCD matrix controller (a chip on a board inside the display) needs to be repaired.

If you're under warranty, call Dell and have the screen replaced. If you're not, an LCD repair shop can probably fix the problem more inexpensively than the $500+ a new screen will cost.
