XPS 17 MLK Touchscreen Random Clicks

Hi,

I have a XPS 17 with touchscreen with N-trig driver which performs random clicks on the bottom right hand section of the screen.

It always clicks on the "Show desktop" button or clock.

The following have been performed.

  • Latest version of N-Trig software installed and screen caligreated.
  • Screen cleaned.
Please help this is driving me mad, the touchscreen is useless right now.

Yep, same problem with my XPS 15 (L502x). Royally

Profane word removed as per TOU>, it works great then after a little use it freaks out. I payed good money and I'd like to see a solution.

I too have the same issue.  It just started a week or two ago.  Sometimes touching the middle of the screen on desktop view causes it to stop for awhile. It gets really annoying watching streaming video as each click causes it to pause. Other times it will randomly go to desktop view.

The three areas it tends to go to are as follows:

left side about 6 inches down.

right side about 6 inches down

the go to desktop and calendar view in the lower right hand corner.

Hi! I have a l502x, with exactly the same problem. Dell is going to replace my screen, but I think that this not gonna solve the problem. Have you found the solution?

Thanks!
