inspiron 3543 cant update Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth4.0+HS Driver

I recently bought inspiron 3543( win10, 8gb ram, 2gb nvidia, 1tb hdd) . But from the very begining of my purchase I am getting BSOD(page_fault_in_nonpaged_area; BCCODE: 50). After tracking down the .dmp files got to know it is happening because of bcmwl63a.sys driver. From dell support tried to update the network driver available for win 10.(link: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=652VC&fileId=3475246210&osCode=WT64A&productCode=inspiron-15-3543-laptop&languageCode=EN&categoryId=NI&DCP=DNDTAG)

Now that results me an error again.

Try testing the system in safemode with networking, hold the shift key down and click restart, choose safemode with networking and once in safemode check to see if you can get online and if the errors continue.

If you are able to get online with no errors then try clean boot troubleshooting with msconfig. Uncheck all the start up files in msconfig and restart the notebook and see if you are able to get online with no errors. If so there is likely a program running in the startup group that is causing problems with the wireless driver.

I know that you have tried reimaging Windows, but you may want to try this if you haven't already, you have the correct wireless driver, but download it and save it to the desktop, don't run it yet. Then go to programs and device manager and uninstall the Dell wireless drivers and software completely. Uninstall all wireless software listed and restart the notebook.  Once back into Windows install the driver that you downloaded and see if the problems continue.

Please report back here with the results.

Hi Terry,

I have tried all the things you have suggested.

1. Uninstalled all network driver from device manager. Restart. Then tried to run the driver downloaded from the above link. And that produced me again same error with exact error log as i have produced above.

2. Tried safe mode with networking. Windows didnt start with networking mode at all. Rather in normal safe mode. Tried to look into device manager and I found yellow exclamation mark beside my 1704 802.11n driver with error code 37.
Openned up mscofig >> startup... directed me to task mannager startup tab. I found wave maxx audio, realtek audio, dropbox, one drive, winzip, bluetooth are enabled. disabled them all and restarted the windows and it did start normally.

3. From boot option, ran the diagnostic and it found no error.

Really clueless what is causing the random BSOD. If bcmwl63a.sys is causing it then how I can I update the driver?

If you aren't getting the problem after unchecking the programs in the startup tab then this isn't a driver problem.  One of these startup programs is causing the problem.  If you want to find the program go back into Msconfig and check half of the programs and leave half unchecked, save the changes and restart.

After restarting do you notice the problem or are you able to use the system without any errors?  If the problem returned, then it is likely being caused by that half of the programs that you checked back, if the problem did not occur than it is likely that the problem is being cause by those programs that are still unchecked.

Divide and conquer, you know should know what half of the programs in the startup group is causing the problem.  Leave half of those programs checked and uncheck all the other programs.   With just one quarter of the programs in the startup group unchecked save changes and restart.  Do you still get the errors or not?

If you all of a sudden get the error then the problem lies with the quarter of the programs checked, if no errors then the problem lies with the quarter of the programs that you just left unchecked. Continue to divide and conquer and you should be able to find the program or programs that are causing the error. You can leave the program unchecked or try reinstalling the program.

You can also try uninstalling / reinstalling the driver while you have the other programs unchecked.  If one of the programs is interfering with the wireless driver then having the programs disabled should help.

If you haven't done so yet you may also want to run a full malware scan just to be safe.

I will be shooting you a friends request in case you continue to have problems.

If you can't install the driver which was downloaded from support website, try to use driver tool to help you install drivers for Dell computer.

Yesterday I had two bsod. One time was watching a movie in KMPlayer another time it was youtube.  My video driver both intel and nvidia are updated. .dmp file from windows\minidump is saying bsod caused by ntoskrnl.exe and from windows .dmp file it was saying bcmwl63a.sys.

recently I  have uninstalled winzip (due to uncertainty). Only softwares i have installed after re imaging are firefox, kmplayer and vlc

Please advise.
