Inspiron 560, suggestion for multi-HDD (3.5") internal cage

I have an Inspiron 560 with only 4 SATA ports. I'd like to add more SATA ports and then more 3.5" internal hard drives to it. To this end, I'm planning on getting a PCIe SATA III controller card for the additional drives. However, I need an internal cage in which to place them, preferably in position B in the picture (so that the cage doesn't interfere with the RAM). If you're wondering why I wouldn't put them in the 2 5.25" slots, don't worry, that's already planned and I've already found cages that allow that.

I just need 3.5 HDD cages that hold 2 or more HDDs and that fit the 560 in position A or (preferably) B.

Suggestions welcome!

2 drives fit where 1 3.5 would go.  5TB is available in 2.5.

You then use Fallout 76 West Virginia Mounting.
Samsung's PM1633a is 15 Terabytes. So 2.5 can beat 3.5 storage wise.

Capacities up to 15.36TB in a 2.5” small form factor (SFF) drive.

UGLY but works fine.UGLY but works fine.

No. The 5 TB 2.5" drive is 15 mm high. You canNOT fit 2x 15mm HDDs in the space of one 3.5" drive.

... and costs nearly $6K. I said in my previous post that I didn't want to buy a new PC. If I had $6K to spend I'd junk the Inspiron instead of trying to upgrade it. Also, that Samsung is an SSD, which I'm not considering.

Also, Seagate offers 16 TB Exos X 3.5" drives for literally a 10th of the Samsung's cost.

Not terrible ideas per se, but I feel like you're not actually taking the context of what I'm saying or asking for into account. Obviously if I'm trying to *upgrade* a nearly 8 year old PC I don't have $6K to spend on a 15 TB SSD.

Also it's well known that current 2.5" HDDs over 2 TB are all over 9.5 mm high and so can't do the 2-for-1 swap you can normally do with a single 3.5" HDD.

> too much power

They also provide the storage I'm looking for. 2.5" drives can't match that. Also, 3.5" HDDs max out at around 9 W, so even with 8 I'd be using 72 W, max. The 560's PSU is rated for 300 W, so with no GPU I should be just fine.

That's kind of an odd comment since I didn't say I was looking for a low power application and only CPUs and GPUs matter for desktops as far as power is concerned because their consumption is literally an order of magnitude higher than that of other individual components.

I'm using the 560 as Veeam B&R backup target, so I'm looking for the most storage I can get without having to buy or build a new PC. Hence the 3.5" drives.

3.5 drives use too much power.

There are 5.25 inch bays that take 6 or 8  of the   2.5 inch drives.

Since you have 2 X 5.25 inch bays you could add up to 12 drives.

That many however would require upgraded power supply as well.
