Inspiron 5675 switch M.2 sata to M.2 NVME question

Hello, I recently bought a 5675 and see there is an open NVME slot  and would like to stick a new NVME drive in there and use it for the boot drive. Currently its booting off of a 256gb ssd in the M.2 sata slot.   I have looked through the forum add see some posts on this and it seems a bit more complicated than just cloning the current boot drive to the new NVME drive and selecting it in the BIOS.  Am I wrong on this?,  or is it (hopefully) a straight forward process.
