Inspiron 660 Tower, upgrades (CPU, GPU, ram, power)

Im planning to upgrade my old Inspiron 660 to slightly more modern specs but I don't know if it it work, the old specs and new specs are below

 

Current specifications

CPU: i3-2120

GPU: OEM GT 640 graphics

RAM: 6 GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz

PSU: Stock 300W Supply

 

Planned upgrade

CPU: i5-3450

GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini 6GB

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600

PSU: 500W Power Supply

 

Device drivers are already up to date and BIOS is latest version, the device recently got refurbished and cleaned.

Looks like everything should work fine. CPU is 50-50 chance as dell releases newer models for a new generation of CPU but who knows? The best way is to just try it.

Only Dell will know for sure if that new CPU is supported, unless you can find a thread where somebody mentions that specific CPU does work. Same for the RAM you're proposing...

Will it be worth the expense to update this PC, vs putting that money toward a new system?
