Advance Battery Charge Mode

Hi,

I recently bought a battery replacement for Insipiron 15 7567 laptop and I'd like to keep it's health/capacity longer than what it is expected to be. I found about Dell Power Manager's Advance Battery Charge but my laptop only has the lite version. Luckily, it also has the same feature. I also have seen the feature on BIOS.

I work from 8 am to 5 pm and I primarily use the AC. So if I'm understanding correctly how the Advance Battery Charge works, the laptop would be charged at full capacity only once between 8 am to 5 pm then it will be at a lower charge the rest of the day.

But on BIOS it has Start of the day and Work Period. And what I gathered on this is that on non-working hours it will have the standard charge while during working hours it will use ExpressCharge. I looked up about the ExpressCharge and what does it do and some site advice to turn this off because it is one of the causes that wear the battery out.

Can you please explain further how Advance Battery Charge works?

Is the Advance Battery Charge mode on Dell Power Manager Lite the same with the one in BIOS? If not, then which of the two the system comply with? or does the two feature work together and how?

Please explain. I'm very much confused.

Thanks
