Can you tell what model of M.2 drive you have? Optane Memory is not the same as a M.2 SSD but I do see some available with the 32 GB+1TB configuration which may behave just like the older systems which had a 32 GB SSD for acceleration with an HDD.
This situation needs the Intel utility to control the process and it needs RAID to allow the array for that situation. Also, Win 11 needs UEFI and Secure Boot enabled.

The solution was to update the BIOS (from version 2.3.1 to 2.7.1).
No drivers were needed to get the drive to work.
I think this could have been mentioned in 'the article' which ended up being just misleading.

@chiappa how do I update the bios when there is NO OS and no UPDATED BIOS available ?
