Dell inspiron 5584 Sleep/Hibernate issue windows 10
Dell inspiron 5584 (with latest bios and drivers) and windows 10.
I noticed that the laptop wakes up from sleep every 180 mins !!
event log shows messages like this:
The system has returned from a low power state.
Sleep Time: 2019-09-10T16:12:21.970600800Z
Wake Time: 2019-09-10T16:42:42.068844300Z
Wake Source: Device -ACPI Wake Alarm
After tracking the issue thourghly, i discovered that it's related to the power profile setting hibernate after 180 min.
The issue that the system never goes into hibernate after the time specified and continous cycles of sleep and wake up continues till the battery reaches critical level and the system will intiate the hibernate.
what do you think of this problem and what could be the soultion to allow the approriate hibernate function after X time ?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. I understand that's it been a while you have been facing this issue and the system wakes up from sleep automatically. I'd request you to try the below-mentioned steps:
1) click on Start
2) Control Panel
3) Hardware and Sound
4) Power Options
5) Change Plan Settings
6) Change Advanced Power Settings
7) Sleep (scroll through the drop-down and click on the + sign that's next to "sleep")
Allow Wake Timers (Disable) for both batteries and when plugged in.
Press Windows and I key to open settings and type Automatic Maintenance in the search box on the top. Select "change Automatic Maintenance settings" and disable the checkbox for “Allow scheduled maintenance to wake up my computer at the scheduled time” and then click on Ok.
Refresh hiberfil.sys file by toggling the switch ( Disabling and Enabling ) this will reset the file if corrupted.
Open elevated command prompt ( Type CMD in start menu and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter )
Copy and paste the command " powercfg -h off " and press enter to disable.
Restart the computer and go to elevated command prompt ( Type CMD in start menu and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter )
Copy and paste the command " powercfg -h on " and press enter to enable.
Read through this article. It also applies to your model. The sleep is working as designed and our product engineering team have checked the same and concluded.
Regards,
Mausam

I have the same exact issue, same Wake Source of "Device -ACPI Wake Alarm" and have been trying to find a solution for months without luck. Running an MSI notebook here.

The problem after alot of searching and testing seems related to the function of Hibernate after 120 - 180 minutes.
The problem vanish for my case if hibernate after set to never or 30 minutes.
Can you confirm if these works for you also?

thanks for your follow up.
the suggested solutions has been tested more than one time in addition to disableing modern stand by and installing the factory image.
unfortunately the issue still exist.
