Inspiron 14 5000 - Fan noises, frozen laptop, black screen on video playing.
Hello,
I bought the inspiron laptop 6 months ago and from day 1 I have had issues with the fan and my laptop freezing.
I initially thought the sound was going to go away - but it isn't. It is very loud, and this is annoying because I need my laptop for lectures - but I can't use it in public.
After 3 weeks of usage, it just started freezing. Again, this occurs randomly and happens about 4 times a day (I use my laptop quite a lot though). When this happens I can't do anything, the mouse doesn't move.
Finally, recently the screen flashes black when I scroll on videos on Facebook or youtube. This often means I have to refresh the page several times.
What should I do - what kind of issue is this from? Considering my laptop is new and I only use it for University work and social activities.

You can run the ePSA diagnostics on the computer by following the information below. This will show any faults with the hardware. Also, connect to Dell Support Assist to resolve issues with the software.
Steps
1.Turn on your computer.
https://dell.to/2JBv0nh the computer boots, press the F12 key as the Dell logo appears.
3.On the boot menu screen, select the Diagnostics option.

Diagnostics front page is displayed.
https://dell.to/39EQB8Z the arrow in the lower-right corner to go to the page listing.
The items detected are listed.
https://dell.to/2xQVvST run a diagnostic test on a specific device, press Esc and click Yes to stop the diagnostic test.
https://dell.to/3aEeVJu the device from the left pane and click Run Tests.
8.If there are any issues, error codes are displayed.
Note the error code and validation number and contact Dell.
