Inspiron 3793 - boot only OS from SSD ?

I am considering purchasing an Inspiron 3793, and understand that the SDD is set as the C drive. I only want the SDD to be used to boot the OS, and use the HDD for all programs and storage.  Is there a way to do this at the time that I boot up the laptop the first time ?  If not, is it possible to switch it after the OS and default programs have loaded ?

Welcome to the Dell Community  @jmackies

There have been times it is setup and other times it was not setup???

But to do it manually is not that difficult.

Go to "Settings" then "System"

Then click on "Storage"

Scroll down and click on "Change Where New Content is Saved"

There you can setup where new DATA is stored.

Thank you U2.

I had read some reviews from owners of this laptop and they seemed to think it was a difficult process.  Your explanation of the procedure is very straight forward, and accomplishes what I am hoping to do.
