Inspiron 5559 Recovery/Reset Error

I have tried a few times to reset my laptop to factory and the computer gives me an error message at about 3%.  It brings me to another screen (blue screen) and I choose the option again and I am given an error message once it starts.  The computer then says it is undoing changes and I am brought back to my home screen.

I did repair any corrupted files but that still did not work.  I am not sure what else to do at this point, I have done this before on my hp laptop and it was super easy, why this is so difficult has me baffled.  

Please go easy on me as I am not very technical, I have tried to look through the discussions but get a little confused and do not want to mess up the computer even more!

I am running windows 10 home, not sure if that was what was originally on the computer as this laptop was a hand me down.  

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
